Maine Children’s Behavioral Health Services: CBHS provides information and assistance with referrals for children and youth with developmental disabilities/delays, intellectual disability (mental retardation), Autism Spectrum Disorders, and mental health disorders.
Speaking Up for US of Maine: A statewide coalition with representatives all over the state who work to support local and statewide self-advocacy organizations to network with each other and with national organizations.
Maine Developmental Disabilities Council: The Maine Developmental Disabilities Council (MDDC) is a partnership of people with disabilities, their families, and agencies which identifies barriers to community inclusion, self determination, and independence, and acts to effect positive change.
Maine Parent Federation: A statewide private non-profit organization that provides information, advocacy, education, and training to parents and professionals to benefit all children. They promote individual aspirations and community inclusion for people with disabilities.
OADS: The Office of Aging and Disability Services provides leadership and is an active partner in Maine’s comprehensive system of support to individuals with mental retardation and autism.
